Developed in 1953, the J-24 is regarded as one of the most iconic depictions of the D-pocket Double Rider. It’s the jacket that put Joseph Buegeleisen's Buco brand on the map almost a century ago.
The Real McCoy’s honour that legacy with this meticulous reproduction. Cut from vegetable-tanned, pigment-finished horsehide, the jacket has a brown core with a black finish. As the years go by and the miles roll on, the jacket will develop a subtle brown cast in high-wear areas, just as the classics intended.
These jackets are made by hand, one at a time, by a single craftsman at The Real McCoy’s Kobe HQ. No detail is overlooked; everything from the zippers to the dot buttons to the nylon quilting is made from scratch to era-accurate specifications.
In terms of fit, this BJ21101 model stays true to the original ’50s jacket pattern, incorporating a three-dimensional sleeve and improved front-back balance to create an accommodating and authentic silhouette. As such, these jackets run true to size.
Elliot wears size 38 jacket. He is 185cm tall and weighs 74kg / 6ft 1" and 163 lbs.
