Born in Kojima, the heart of Japanese denim, Japan Blue Jeans blends heritage craftsmanship with fabric innovation.

Established in 2010, Japan Blue Jeans hails from Okayama Prefecture—a region steeped in textile tradition. It was here that passionate artisans first reverse-engineered the American jean, learning its ways and mastering its making. With the creation of Japan’s first domestic denim in 1973, Kojima cemented its reputation as the world’s denim-producing epicentre.

Japan Blue Jean honours that legacy with a fabric-first approach—offering a broad range of weights, blends, and finishes. Their jeans celebrate the art of the slow fade, drawing on time-honoured techniques like shuttle-loom weaving and rope dyeing. Each pair captures the tactile richness of selvedge denim and the distinct character only skilled hands can achieve.
