Stevenson Overall’s Santa Cruz jeans are cut to a relaxed tapered fit with a mid-to-high rise. An accommodating top block and a gentle taper from the knee down create a slick and modern silhouette. The denim here is a 14oz custom weave from Japan’s Nihon Menpu Mills. The long-staple US cotton is shuttle-loomed for a textured hand with a visible weave. As beautiful as the denim is, it’s Stevenson Overall’s fine needlework, pattern cutting, and finishing that really impress. Hand-curved pockets, intricate single needle detail stitching, and a flat fell stitched placket make for a jean replete with elevated, artisanal details.
