The IHJ-134-ODG from Iron Heart draws on the timeless looks of Levi’s iconic Type II. This updated version swaps out the denim for a lightweight, Oxford cloth - making it the perfect laying piece for those warmer days and cooler evenings. The cloth clocks in at a light and breezy 9oz and comes paraffin-coated for extra softness and durability. It’s reactive dyed, too. So you can expect those lovely olive hues to stick around for the long haul.

Here, Iron Heart have retained much of what makes the Type II such an iconic piece. They honour the knife pleat detailing, lower-set chest pockets, and rear cinch belt that defined the ‘50s original. Where things differ is the fit. Gone is the cropped and boxy silhouette. Instead, Iron Heart have worked their magic to create a slimmer and slightly longer fit, so you get all the classic detailing of a Type II with the added benefit of modern wearability. It’s a classically informed piece that will complement your current wardrobe effortlessly.

Stage 1: The waist

  • Button up the jean.
Lay flat with the top waist band evenly flat on the back waist band.
Measure from one side to the other keeping the jean flat & double the measurement.

Stage 2: The hip

  • Measure 3 inches or 7.5cm from the crotch stitch.
Measure from side to side flat across the jean at this point.

Stage 3: Front rise

  • Lay flat and measure from crotch seam to top of jean with top button fastened

Stage 4: Back rise

  • Measure from crotch seam to top of the back of the jean.

Stage 5: Thigh

  • Lay flat and measure from crotch across to outside of leg.

Stage 6: Knee

  • Lay flat and measure 13” or 33cm from crotch down inside seam of jeans
From here measure from one side of the jean to the other.

Stage 7: hem width/leg opening

  • With the jean flat measure from one side of the leg opening to the other.

Here we take a cross measurement from seam to seam at the bottom of the shirt.
