The Service Boot is an updated interpretation of Viberg's original work boot, designed by founder Edwin Viberg in 1931. A similar pattern was adopted by multiple nations as a standard-issue military boot during WWII.

Viberg has taken this iconic design and paired it with Mojave Waxy Commander leather from the UK’s C.F. Stead Tannery. This rugged leather undergoes a special curing process that shrinks and tightens the hide’s fibres, resulting in a durable, water-resistant, and visually striking leather. It has a waxy feel and high pull-up, which will develop a rich patina over time. The boot’s Stitchdown construction ensures a long-lasting, resoleable lifespan.

This Service Boot is built on Viberg’s 1035 last, offering a rugged, round-toe style with a comfortable and accommodating E width.

Viberg boots undergo numerous hand-finished processes—from the tanning of rare leathers to the free-hand trimming of the soles. They are subject to strict quality inspections at Viberg's Victoria workshop and upon arrival at Rivet & Hide. Any slight variations in colour and texture should be considered part of the Service Boot’s unique character.

Note: The size you order will be the size stamped in the boots. Viberg sizing more closely aligns with UK rather than US sizing, so please take this into account when making your choice. If you need assistance with sizing, feel free to contact us via email—we’re always happy to help.
