As well as being responsible for the renowned denim event of the same name, the guys behind Denim Boulevard also put out some fantastic publications. The brainchild of Antonio Di Battista - a respected veteran of the denim industry having had involvement in his own brands - ‘Overall’ is a reportage magazine with articles, interviews and features on all aspects of the denim scene from people to brands to products to techniques. Each edition has a different theme around which the content evolves. ‘My Archive’ is a treasure trove for anyone with an interest in the origins of todays denim.
Short on text, these issues are a compendium of images depicting original workwear, overalls and denim from the late 1800’s to date in all their faded (and sometimes nearly destroyed) glory. There are some real rarities to be found within. Although these publications could quite happily fulfil the role of ‘coffee table’ book extraordinaire, there is so much more to them than that. A must for those looking to go further & deeper into both denim culture & Industry.
