Pure Blue Japan's mastery of their Toyoda looms delivers denim which is by no means confined to jeans. We are fortunate enough to be in a position where we can harness this knowledge and proud to produce collaborative efforts such as a Type III jacket in their legendary 'EX' denim as seen here.

Following on from our previous hugely popular jeans collaborations with the skilled craftspeople at Pure Blue Japan, we decided on a range of jackets for our next outing together. After much consultation and discussion we arrived at the decision to launch a classic indigo type II and type III denim jacket to our specifications and using PBJ's Extra Slub or 'EX' denim. Dialling in at a hefty 17.5oz this fabric lends itself perfectly to a hard wearing and durable outer garment but with the ability to soften and shape as we know PBJ's denims do so well. Full of texture and character thanks to their inimitable irregular weaving process this jacket will age and wear becoming a treasured wardrobe piece that simply gets better and better with age. Here at Rivet & Hide we are proud to put our name to the result.
Elliot wears size large jacket. He is 185cm tall and weighs 74kg / 6ft 1" and 163 Lbs.
Important: The best way to determine the size you need is to measure a similar item you already own and compare with the actual sizing as per the table below. Do not go by tagsize alone.

Stage 1: Chest
- Measure from pit to pit and double the reading.
Stage 2: Shoulder
>Measure across the top from one shoulder seam to the other.
Stage 3: Waist
We measure the narrowest part of the garment outer seam to outer seam between the pit and the opening. If, however, the shirt has gussets, the waist will correspond to the the opening measurement.
Stage 4: Opening
Here we take a cross measurement from seam to seam at the bottom of the shirt.
Stage 5: Length
Measure from the top of the shoulder by the collar to the bottom of the garment.
Stage 6: Sleeve
Measure from the top of shoulder seam to the cuff’s edge.
