DO YOU ONLY SELL DENIM?
We stock a range of jeans, shirts, sweaters, t shirts, jackets, boots, and leather accessories by our iconic brands.
DO YOU ONLY SELL RAW DENIM?
Yes. We focus solely on denim in its raw state.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SANFORIZED & UNSANFORIZED DENIM?
Sanforized denim has been steamed and stretched before your jeans have been constructed to get rid of most of the shrinkage, but have not been washed or soaked once they jeans have been made. There is no need to soak or wash such denim before wearing.
Unsanforized, or loomstate, has not been through this process at all, and more shrinkage occurs when you soak or wash your jeans for the first time. An initial soak before wearing is important to achieve the shrinkage and protect the fabric. It will shrink up to 10%.
SO WHEN AND HOW SHOULD I WASH MY JEANS?
At Rivet and Hide we believe that when and how often to wash your jeans is a matter of personal preference. Our suggestion is that you wash them once they come to a point that they give off odour or become unbearably dirty. Intense contrasts and crazy whiskering and creases around stress areas are usually the result of some lengthy washing abstinence. Washing rarely, or often, will give quite different results, but this is also strongly affected by how often the jeans are worn. Unsanforized jeans should be soaked or washed before wearing to shrink to fit and protect the fabric. After that it's a personal choice when you wash them.
HOW DO I WASH MY JEANS?
When you decide to wash turn them inside out and wash in lukewarm water for minimum indigo loss. Hot washing may damage the cotton fibres, which may shorten the life of your jeans . Use a minimal amount of washing powder. Always air dry. Never use a drier.
IS SHIPPING ALWAYS FREE?
For all orders over $225 to USA, Canada and other worldwide countries.
As soon as we receive an order we start to process. We use either Royal Mail Special Delivery or DHL courier service for UK orders and they normally arrive the next working day. For non-UK orders we use DHL primarily or Royal Mail.

HOW DO I PAY FOR GOODS?
We accept all major credit or debit cards including Visa, Visa Debit, Maestro, Mastercard and Visa Electron and American Express.
All payments are secured via Braintree secure payment gateway which is owned by PayPal. They handle the payment for us. We do now have access to your payment method or details other than the delivery address. Payment can also be made via PayPal at checkout.
HOW DO I KNOW MY ORDER WENT THROUGH?
You’ll get an email from us as soon as the order is complete as confirmation. If you don't receive an email make sure to check your spam folder.
HOW DO I KNOW MY ORDER HAS BEEN SHIPPED?
You’ll get another email from us confirming this too.
CAN I RETURN GOODS AND GET REFUND?
Yes. You have 21 days to return an item purchased in store or online and as long as it has not been altered, has its labels attached, and is in its original state a refund will be made. Refunds are made in full on orders over $225.
You can either return goods using your own postal/courier service or purchase our Returns Service here using our DHL account at a cost of $35 This means you can buy from us in the knowledge that if your purchase does not work it will cost just $35 to return it with a full refund over $225
Any jeans which have been hemmed at the customer's request cannot be exchanged or refunded. All items must be returned in their original state with labels to qualify for a refund or exchange.

If you are returning from outside the EU including USA and Canada please clearly mark the package as RETURNED GOODS with a low value of 30USD to avoid hefty customs charges. Make sure RETURNED GOODS is clearly ticked on the shipping invoice and over the parcel itself.
