3sixteen continues to develop a loyal base of customers who get hooked on their great fitting jeans.
The Kibata presents a 14 oz. indigo denim in its unsanforized/loomstate form.
Kibata is the Japanese term for denim that has not been through the process of sanforization. Custom woven in Okayama, Japan, by Kuroki. One of Japan's most esteemed artisan denim mills. The jeans are then cut and sewn from this fabric at the 3sixteen factory in San Francisco, denim's spiritual home.
The denim has a slubby texture woven at low tension on the shuttle loom, resulting in a rough hand that shows more irregularities in the weave. The weft yarns pops through the fabric and the loose weave will allow the fabric to fade with high contrast.
